Mitsubishi Electric (a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Group) entered the elevator business in 1931. The NEXIEZ-MRL was launched in December 2011 as a successor to the Elenessa platform, with NEXIEZ-MRL Version 2 launching October 2021. Specifications span 6–21 passengers, 1.0–2.5 m/s rated speed, up to 30 stops and 80m travel. The Quick-motion Door System in Version 2 improves transport efficiency by approximately 12% versus the original.
